Excusing my absence

Hey all-

I am so sorry that there hasn't been a post in a few weeks. This month has been full of school projects and exams (which are, of course, really exciting to blog about). One cool thing that happened was the student elections, which were actually pretty exciting. You might be seeing a short blog post about that soon.

However- the month of December has quite a few really exciting things that I look forward to blogging about. One thing to look forward to is La Fete de Lumiere, a festival of lights that Lyon is famous for. This is taking place next weekend- and guess who's coming to visit then? MY AUNT TAMMY!

My birthday is coming up on the 15th as well, celebrating two decades on this planet. Cash donations to fund this event are being accepted! :)

Look forward to a post about Christmas spirit in France, as well as, if I have time (crossing my fingers), one on the French fashion of this winter season.

And on the 19th THOMAS LANSING will be arriving in Lyon! We'll be traveling around Europe for two and a half weeks until I go home the first week of January. You'll be updated more frequently with blogs as I attempt to carry around my computer throughout Europe to keep you all in the loop. We're planning on spending Christmas in Paris (I'm dying to see the Christmas Eve service at the Notre Dame!) and New Years in Barcelona! Besides those two cities, we have also bought Eurorail passes for France, Spain, and Italy. Tom's fluent in Italian and he's spent over a year living there, so I'm really looking forward to seeing Italy for the first time with him.

In the mean time, here are two videos from last year's Fete de Lumiere that took place in Lyon, as well as a stop-motion of my city that was done by a few of my friends here for a marketing class of theirs. For a professional perspective as well I added one that was made by the city as well.

Bisous!
Laura
